Kyle Cassels
Kyle started kart racing in 2016 in the Rotax Max series in the the Mini Max class. In 2018 Kyle graduated into the fiercely competitive Junior class and showed great speed and discipline all season. In the 2019 season, Kyle will advance up into the Senior Rotax class. The 2020 season was cut short due to COVID. Restrictions eased up in the 2021 season, which let Kyle get some track time to brush off the rust. Catalyst took us in and gave Kyle a brand new red look. Kyle graduated high school in 2022 and took a break from racing in 2023. Kyle found a weekend to take a break from college and get back into the seat for a double header club race. The team was very irritated by his exceptional results after finishing 2nd in the TaG Senior class.
Erin Cassels
Erin started racing in 2016 when she was 14 years old. Since then, she has gone through MiniMax, Junior and now to Senior as an 18 year old where she races along side her brother, Kyle and her dad, Cameron. She has shown great improvement and a competitive side that will benefit her through her racing career. She wishes to one day run the Daytona 24 Hours and Le Man with her dad and siblings.
Ryan Cassels
Ryan has been kart racing since 2016 in the Rotax Max series in the Micro Max class. Ryan's great sense of humour helps to keep everything fun! Ryan moved from Micro Max to Mini Max in 2018 after giving Sydney one year with a friendly face on the track. In 2020 Ryan made the big move to a full sized kart in Junior Rotax class. 2021 was a slow season for all of us given the big break we had in 2020. Ryan got a fresh start in 2022 with the new team and new engine. The 2022 season started off promising even with having a big disadvantage with his weight and height in the TaG Junior class. In May of 2022, Ryan moved up to TaG Senior after his 15th birthday. Ryan has never looked back since moving up to a much more competitive class.
Sydney Cassels
2017 was Sydney’s first full season of kart racing. Sydney competed in the Challenge of the Americas in the MicroMax class in 2018, Sydney won the 2018 Western Canadian Karting Championship in the MicroMax class, she then raced in the Challenge of the Americas again in 2019, She finished a close third place. Sydney raced in the MiniMax class in 2020 but the rest of the championship was sadly, cancelled due to COVID-19. In 2020 Sydney raced in the MiniMax class at GMR with some podium finishes and some close finishes too. Sydney moved up to the full sized karts in 2021 and showed speed right from the start. In 2022 she changed from a Rotax to an X125 and immediately got up to speed with the rest of the TaG field. Sydney got to experience her biggest victory in McMinnville, Oregon in the Padholder Supercup series and kept that forward momentum into her home track with a win on both days but a disqualification on the saturday. Sydney finished 4th in the championship but learned lots and grew as a driver massively. Later in Novemeber she attended Return to the Rio/Rok the Rio as a practice round before the Supernats. Sydney was blown away by the amount of talent as it was her first national race. Sydney and Cameron both intend on racing the Supernats again in 2023.
